Ordering terms

These terms cover orders placed ahead for pickup at a Caffeo robot café, whether you order on this website or through an AI assistant that orders for you. By paying for an order you agree to them. Nothing here limits any rights you have under Ontario consumer protection law.

Your order

• You choose your drinks, then pay on a secure payment page run by Stripe. We never see your card details.
• Prices are in Canadian dollars and are set by Caffeo. Tax (HST or GST) is shown before you pay.
• If your assistant's payment method can't pay in Canadian dollars, it can pay in US dollars at Caffeo's fixed rate. The US dollar amount is shown before you pay, and your bank may add its own fees.
• Your order isn't confirmed until payment goes through. Each order has a 4-character pickup code and an order page where you can follow it.

Starting your drink at Caffeo

At Caffeo locations that show this rule before you pay, your drink isn't made as soon as you pay. This keeps the robot free for people who are actually there:

• When you reach Caffeo, open your order page and tap Start my drink. Your phone shares its location once, so we can check you're within 1 km of Caffeo.
• You have 30 minutes from paying to tap Start.
• If you don't start your order within 30 minutes, it's cancelled and not refunded. This rule is shown before you pay.
• If Caffeo is busy when you tap Start from nearby, your order is held for you for another 30 minutes from that tap. Tap Start again in a minute.

Refunds

• If Caffeo can't make your order (for example, a drink sold out or the robot couldn't take it), you're refunded in full automatically, to the card you paid with.
• If something else goes wrong with your drink, contact us and we'll make it right.
• Orders that weren't started in time (see above) aren't refunded.

Ordering through an AI assistant

• An AI assistant (such as Claude, ChatGPT, Grok or Meta's assistant) can create an order and send you the payment link. You are responsible for orders you pay for, including ones your assistant set up.
• Check the drinks and the total on the payment page before you pay. Caffeo's prices and terms apply, not anything the assistant says.
• The assistant can't start your drink for you. You start it yourself at Caffeo.

Pickup

Collect your drink from the Caffeo pickup door as soon as it's ready. Drinks are made fresh and are meant to be enjoyed right away. Caffeo isn't responsible for drinks left uncollected.
